Gamine, Collusion Illusion lead Monday's work tab

Gamine, winner of the Derby City Distaff (G1) on the Kentucky Derby undercard, worked Monday at Santa Anita for trainer Bob Baffert. Also at Santa Anita, Collusion Illusion – last seen finishing third in the Dec. 26 Malibu Stake (G1) – had his first work since January.

It was the 31st fastest of 53 works at the distance. Her previous work was 6 days ago going 4 furlongs at Monmouth Park. In her last start she placed fourth in the Plenty of Grace going 1 mile on the turf at Aqueduct on April 11 for trainer Chad Brown.

Count Again (Awesome Again) a Grade 2 winner (2020 Seabiscuit H.) worked 3 furlongs in 37.8 at Santa Anita Park on Monday morning. It was the 9th fastest of 12 works at the distance. This is his first work since his last race, when he placed fourth in the Turf Classic (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Churchill Downs on May 1 for trainer Philip D'Amato.
