Three-time leading sire Tapit will stand for a fee of $225,000 LFSN in 2019, Gainesway announced Wednesday. Tapit’s book will again be limited to 125 mares.

He had stood for $300,000 since 2015.

Tapit is the sire of 24 Grade 1 winners and seven champions, including Eclipse Award-winning female sprinter Unique Bella, who captured the Beholder Mile (G1) and Clement L. Hirsch (G1) in 2018.

Tapit is a dominant sire on the racetrack and in the sale ring. During the past five years, he leads all North American sires by progeny earnings as well as yearling sale gross.

Tapit's Belmont Stakes (G1) winning son, Tapwrit, will also enter stud in 2019 at Gainesway, located in Lexington, Ky. His fee is $12,500.

Gainesway stands as well, among others, Afleet Alex and Empire Maker.
