Fully Subscribed showed her class in her stakes debut when she entered the stretch with a group of contenders and drew away under Dylan Davis to win by 4 1/2 lengths in the Grade 2, $300,000 Mother Goose Stakes for 3-year-old fillies Saturday at Aqueduct.

The Klaravich Stables homebred was one of two promising maiden winners sent out for the 68th running of the Mother Goose, along with Filly Freedom, for five-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown. Fully Subscribed broke from post 6 and stayed off the early pace as Queen Azteca led the nine-horse field through an opening quarter-mile in 24 seconds, the half in 48.43 and three-quarters in 1:13.15 on the fast track.

Fully Subscribed, who won her local debut in October 2024 and finished second in September in an optional claimer here, showed form that belied her stakes debut and just fourth start overall. Davis urged her in the turn and gave her right-handed encouragement once in the stretch. She responded with her late-closing speed and drew away from Drexel Hill in what had been a tight field of contenders to complete the course in 1:49.73.

“She broke well. She is really maturing,” Davis said. “I really like her at two turns. Just broke well and sat a great trip three-wide, a little pressure into the second turn, thought it was a little early, but the other filly wasn’t really getting to me that quick. I thought I had a lot of horse to just go ahead and push on, go through there, she responded really well. I think she was much the best here. Great job to the team.”

Drexel Hill returned from a six-month layoff in her first start since running second to Good Cheer in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) on May 2 at Churchill Downs. She finished as the runner-up again and bested 4-1 favorite Lemon Zest by a neck for place honors. So There She Was finished fourth, with Ourdaydreaminggirl, Queen Azteca, Filly Freedom, Being Myself and Cue the Duckboats completing the order of finish.

Off at 7-2, Fully Subscribed paid $9 on a $2 win wager. She increased her career earnings to $245,300 through the $165,000 winner’s share. She became the second progeny of 2020 Belmont Stakes winner Tiz the Law to win a graded stakes Saturday, as Tiz Dashing won the Grade 3 Hill Prince two races prior.

Fully Subscribed gave Brown his third Mother Goose victory, joining Dunbar Road (2019) and Gerrymander (2022).

“I think she’s a horse with a bright future,” Brown said. “Me and Seth Klarman are trying to organize our 2026 lineup. We’re trading some horses here at the end of the year in the racing age sale. We sold a couple this last week, higher-end horses like Randomized and Signal From Noise. We’re always planning ahead for next year and she’s a horse that fits into our 2026 plans. We’ll keep that in mind and no rush to get her back."

Drexel Hill, ridden by Hall of Famer Javier Castellano, looked strong in her first race at the Big A since winning a one-turn mile in the Listed Busher that earned her key qualifying points to the Kentucky Oaks (G1). There she rallied from last in the 13-horse field to finish second.

Trainer Whit Beckman said the Bolt d’Oro filly performed admirably off the layoff.

“It was a great comeback effort,” Beckman said. “She stayed a lot closer, engaged around the turn. I think fitness and the layup kind of got to her by the quarter-pole when she drifted wide. She motored home well and we’re happy to get second. We’ll get her back home and start planning things out from there."
