Green Lantern Stables’ Frostmourne won the $200,000 Grade III Kent Stakes at Delaware Park today.

With Joel Rosario aboard, the son of Speightstown notched a 6-length score and returned $3.00 as the favorite in the field of six.  Master Plan, with Tyler Gaffalione finished second.  It was another 1 ¾-lengths further back to Adonis Creed, with Eric Cancel in third.  Frostmourne covered the mile and an eighth in 1:49.95 over a good turf course.

The Kentucky-bred trained by Christophe Clement raised his career mark to four wins from six starts with earnings $537,800.  The Kent Stakes was the second career Graded stake victory for Frostmourne.  Previously, he won the Grade Penn National Mile.

“He settled down nicely,” said winning rider Joel Rosario. “The horse pulled away a little bit, but I took my time and I got into his stride.  He relaxed and when I asked he responded.”
