Ted Noffey worked Friday morning for the first time since winning the Grade 1 Hopeful on Sept. 1 at Saratoga.
The Into Mischief colt trained by Todd Pletcher breezed four furlongs in 49.39 seconds on the dirt training track, seventh fastest of 59 at that course and distance.
Ted Noffey was purchased as a yearling by Spendhrift Farm for $650,000. He won his Aug. 2 debut at Saratoga by 1 1/2 lengths before his 8 1/2-length victory in the Hopeful. After the race, Pletcher said his next start could come around two turns in the 1 1/16-mile Breeders' Futurity (G1) on Oct. 4 at Keeneland, a win-and-you're-in for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile.
