Friday works: Star fillies Quietside, Scylla lead 29 graded winners
Quietside, a major contender for the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks contender after wins in the Honeybee (G3) and the Fantasy (G2) at Oaklawn, returned to the work tab Friday for her first drill since the Fantasy. She earned the five-furlong bullet at Keeneland as her time of 59.0 seconds was fastest of 15 at the distance.
Scylla, unraced since finishing fourth in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint last fall, also earned a Friday-morning bullet. The Bill Mott trainee, a full sister to multiple graded-stakes winner Tactitus, worked four furlongs at Churchill in a quick 47.0 seconds, fastest of 41 at the distance.
Scylla had been entered for her seasonal debut in the Madison (G1) on April 8, but was scratched after spiking a fever. Friday's work was her first drill since the scratch.
