Friday works: Fierceness leads 24 graded-stakes winners on tab
Fierceness, the champion juvenile of 2023 and winner of the Grade 1 Travers Stakes in 2024, continues on the comeback trail. Unraced since finishing second behind Sierra Leone in the 2024 Breeders' Cup Classic, Fierceness worked five furlongs in 1:01.8 at trainer Todd Pletcher's Palm Beach Downs base.
The drill was Fierceness's fourth since returning to the work tab on March 13. Pletcher is pointing him to a return in the Westchester Stakes (G3) on May 4 at Aqueduct, a prep race for the Met Mile (G1).
