Friday works: Crupi leads 26 graded-stakes winners on tab
Crupi, second in the Grade 1 Whitney in his latest start, returned to the work tab Friday.
The 4-year-old Curlin colt breezed four furlongs in 48.66 seconds at Saratoga for trainer Todd Pletcher, 13th fastest of 47 at the distance.
Crupi has finished out of the money only once in his last seven starts, and that was a 10th-place finish in the Dubai World Cup. In three starts since, he won the Suburban (G2) and was second in the Brooklyn (G2) ahead of the Whitney.
