Friday workouts: 23 graded winners, 3 Derby prospects breeze

Continuing her comeback from a winter break, Technical Analysis had her fourth consecutive weekly breeze Friday, delivering a 48.2-second turn that was the fastest among the 10 half-mile workouts at Payson Park.

Last seen in the afternoon finishing fourth in the First Lady (G1) last fall at Keeneland, the 6-year-old Kingman mare has not been publicly targeted for a season-opening race yet by trainer Chad Brown.

Technical Analysis (Kingman), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2022 Ballston Spa, 2021 Lake Placid), worked four furlongs in 48.2 seconds on turf at Payson Park on Friday morning. It was the fastest of 10 works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In her last start she placed fourth in the First Lady (G1) going one mile on the turf at Keeneland on Oct. 8 for trainer Chad Brown.

Andthewinneris (Oscar Performance), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Bourbon), worked four furlongs in 48.0 seconds at Keeneland. It was the sixth fastest of 26 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going five furlongs at Fair Grounds. In his last start he placed fourth in the Black Gold going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Fair Grounds on March 4 for trainer Wayne Catalano.

Artie’s Princess (We Miss Artie), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Presque Isle Downs Masters), worked four furlongs in 49.1 seconds at Palm Meadows. It was the 17th fastest of 55 works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going three furlongs at Palm Meadows. In her last start she placed sixth in the Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 28 for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr.

Bubble Rock (More Than Ready), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Mrs. Revere), worked four furlongs in 48.4 seconds at Keeneland. It was the fastest of two works at the distance. Double Crown (Bourbon Courage), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Kelso Handicap), worked five furlongs in 1:00.4 at Laurel Park. It was the fourth fastest of 31 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed second in the Harrison E. Johnson Memorial going one mile on the main track at Laurel Park on March 18 for trainer Lynn Cash.

Gerrymander (Into Mischief), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Mother Goose), worked four furlongs in 48.8 seconds at Belmont Park. It was the 24th fastest of 175 works at the distance. Her previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In her last start she placed eighth in the Cotillion (G1) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Parx Racing on Sept. 24 for Brown.
