Friday workouts: 11 graded-stakes winners show up on tabs

On a light day of workouts for graded-stakes winners, Hit the Road turned in a five-furlong turn at Del Mar that was clocked at 1:01.6 on Friday morning.

The winner of the Grade 1 Frank E. Kilroe Mile in 2021, the 6-year-old More Than Ready horse trained by Dan Blacker was seventh last out in an allowance race last month at Del Mar. He does not have a publicly announced next race yet.

There were 11 graded-stakes winners on work tabs across the U.S.

Hit the Road (More Than Ready), a Grade 1 winner (2021 Frank E. Kilroe Mile), worked five furlongs in 1:01.6 at Del Mar on Friday morning. It was the 17th fastest of 26 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Del Mar. In his last start he placed seventh in an allowance race going one mile on the turf at Del Mar on Aug. 19 for trainer Dan Blacker.

Charge It (Tapit), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Suburban), worked four furlongs in 50.3 seconds at Saratoga. It was the 18th fastest of 23 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Saratoga. In his last start he placed fourth in the Whitney (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Saratoga on Aug. 5 for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Damon’s Mound (Girvin), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Saratoga Special), worked four furlongs in 48.4 seconds at Churchill Downs. It was the 21st fastest of 92 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Robert Hilton Memorial going seven furlongs on the main track at Charles Town on Aug. 25 for trainer Michelle Lovell.

Hoosier Philly (Into Mischief), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Golden Rod), worked four furlongs in 49.8 seconds at Churchill Downs. It was the 66th fastest of 92 works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. In her last start she placed eighth in the Charles Town Oaks (G3) going seven furlongs on the main track at Charles Town on Aug. 25 for trainer Tom Amoss.

Julia Shining (Curlin), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Demoiselle), worked four furlongs in 48.6 seconds at Saratoga. It was the eighth fastest of 23 works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Saratoga. In her last start she placed ninth in the Alabama Presented by Keeneland Sales (G1) going 1 1/4 miles on the main track at Saratoga on Aug. 19 for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Faith in Humanity (Lope de Vega), a two-time Grade 3 winner (2023 Honey Fox, 2022 Pebbles), worked four furlongs in 48.8 seconds at Belmont Park. It was the ninth fastest of 46 works at the distance. Her previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Belmont Park. In her last start she won the Honey Fox (G3) going one mile on the turf at Gulfstream Park on March 4 for trainer Chad Brown.

Bellstreet Bridie (Sir Percy), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Red Carpet) worked 1 furlong in 13.0 seconds at San Luis Rey. It was the third fastest of three works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. In her last start she placed 11th in the American Oaks (G1) going 1 1/4 miles on the turf at Santa Anita on Dec. 26 for trainer Mark Glatt.

Evening Sun (Muhaarar), a Grade 3 winner (2022 San Francisco Mile), worked four furlongs in 47.8 seconds at Del Mar. It was the seventh fastest of 43 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed ninth in an allowance race going one mile on the turf at Del Mar on Aug. 19 for trainer Jeff Mullins.

Fun and Feisty (Midshipman), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Pocahontas), worked four furlongs in 48.0 seconds at Churchill Downs. It was the 10th fastest of 92 works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Churchill Downs. In her last start she placed seventh in the Beaumont (G2) going seven furlongs on the main track at Keeneland on April 16 for trainer Kenny McPeek.

King Fury (Curlin), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Lexington), worked four furlongs in 47.4 seconds at Churchill Downs. It was the fastest of 92 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going three furlongs at Churchill Downs. In his last start he placed sixth in the Mineshaft (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Fair Grounds on Feb. 18 for trainer Kenny McPeek.

Weyburn (Pioneerof the Nile), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Gotham), worked five furlongs in 1:02.2 at Woodbine. It was the fastest of three works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed fifth in the Philip H. Iselin (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Monmouth Park on Aug. 19 for trainer Todd Pletcher.
