Spirit of St Louis, winner of two Grade 1 stakes this year but off the board in his last two starts, worked Friday at Saratoga for trainer Chad Brown.
The 6-year-old gelding by Medaglia d'Oro breezed four furlongs in 50.77 seconds, 15th fastest of 17 at the distance.
Spirit of St. Louis won the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational in January and the Turf Classic (G1) on the Kentucky Derby undercard. Then he was sixth in the Manhattan (G1) and most recently eighth in the Fourstardave (G1).
