The 2025 freshman sire crop continues to demonstrate remarkable depth, with Yaupon leading the standings with 15 wins from 47 starters for the week ended Sunday. The son of Uncle Mo has established a solid 31.9% win rate while maintaining his position atop the leaderboard among the debut stallions.

Knicks Go continues his strong showing with nine wins from 44 starters, followed by Beau Liam and Maxfield with six wins each. The competition has intensified with Modernist and Uncle Chuck both tallying five victories.

Recent winners

The last week has showcased the breadth of the freshman sire class with 20 winners representing 13 sires. Knicks Go led the way with four winners, including Luster at Woodbine, Divot Digger at Indiana Grand and Go Simple at Pimlico. Yaupon added three more victories with Tennessee Belle and Arctic Beast both winning at Saratoga plus Crown the Buckeye at Thistledown.

After a slow start this summer, Independence Hall recorded his first four wins over 24 hours Friday and Saturday, highlighted by Victory Hall's victory at Saratoga and Perfect Gamble's success at Canterbury. Undefeated as a juvenile, Independence Hall turned in the fastest Beyer Speed Figure for a 2-year-old that year with a 101. The first-crop son of Constitution also made an appearance on the Kentucky Derby trail, winning the Grade 3 Sam F. Davis. He stands at WinStar farm for $7,500.

Beau Liam contributed two winners, with Tizianna scoring at Ellis Park and Belgian winning at Saratoga, clocking the second-fastest maiden HRN speed figure of the week. Other notable performances included Silver State's first winner with Swamp King at Ellis Park and Basin adding to his tally when Compressed won at Ellis Park.
