Early free PPs for Belmont Stakes 2023

Brad Cox could have three in the Belmont, led by Angel of Empire, who was third in the Kentucky Derby. He also could start Hit Show, fifth in the Derby and Tapit Shoes, who is looking for his first win after three starts this year.

In addition to Forte, the champion 2-year-old male and winner of his last five races, Todd Pletcher is expected to start Tapit Trice, winner of the Tampa Bay Derby (G3) and Blue Grass (G1).

Also expected is Arcangelo, winner of the Peter Pan (G3) who will make his first start around two turns for trainer Jena Antonucci.
