Dravo Foley, a prominent horseman who later became known as the father of current Kentucky trainers Greg and Vickie Foley, died Monday evening at Kindred Hospital after a long battle with pulmonary disease. He was 75.
Foley had 1,123 wins out of 6,203 starters for purse earnings of $3,725,548, according to statistics compiled by Daily Racing Form. That may not account for a few wins early in his career because of different record-keeping system at the time.
