Simplification and White Abarrio are the top two choices for Saturday's Grade 1, $1 million Florida Derby, which was drawn Wednesday afternoon at Gulfstream Park.

The 1 1/8-mile race offers 100-40-20-10 Kentucky Derby qualifying points to the top four finishers.

Simplification, the 5-2 favorite on the morning line, won the March 5 Fountain of Youth (G2) to bring his Kentucky Derby points total to 54. He drew post position 3 and will have Jose Ortiz aboard.

White Abarrio, the second choice at 3-1, has won three of four career starts, including a win over Simplification last out in the Feb. 5 Holy Bull (G3). He drew the No. 7 post and will be ridden by Tyler Gaffalione.

Classic Causeway, at 7-2, drew the No. 2 post and will be ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. He won the Tampa Bay Derby (G2) last out and the Sam F. Davis (G3) before that. With 66 Kentucky Derby points, he already has enough to be in the starting gate at Churchill Downs on May 7.

Charge It also is at 7-2 and will start from the No. 6 post with Luis Saez aboard. Unbeaten in two starts and an impressive winner last out, he will make his first graded-stakes start here. (Read more about Charge It here.)

The weather forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 85.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this report incorrectly reported that Simplification would miss the Florida Derby. Shipsational is the horse that will miss the race; he has ankle inflammation.
