Flashy American took the lead at the eighth-pole and then drew off to a 3 ¼-length victory over favored Gold Medal Dancer in the $44,370 Thursday afternoon feature
for fillies and mares at Churchill Downs.
Trained by Ken McPeek and ridden to victory by Alan Garcia, Flashy American covered the 1 1/16 miles on the fast main track in 1:44.78.
