First look at Breeders' Cup 2019 odds: All 5 juvenile races
Much like our first look at Breeders’ Cup Saturday odds, we've scoured oddschecker.com for a look at how the overseas betting market views "Future Stars Friday," which encompasses the five championship events for juveniles on Nov. 1 at Santa Anita Park.
There's still much to be determined in the makeup of these fields, especially on the turf side with commitments pending from European connections. In the meantime, these odds show current trade before we get pre-entries Oct. 23 and can form a more comprehensive picture.
One can only hope that in the Juvenile, all jockeys can hold on. Before winning the American Pharoah Stakes (G1), Eight Rings lost Drayden Van Dyke in the Del Mar Futurity. And before breaking his maiden by open lengths, the eventual Iroquois (G3) winner Dennis' Moment tossed Robby Albarado. Those two, along with the impressive Breeders' Futurity (G1) winner Maxfield, lead the prospective field of a race that should determine the 2-year-old championship and get us thinking about the 2020 Kentucky Derby.
| Horse | Trainer | Odds |
| Eight Rings | Bob Baffert | 3-1 |
| Dennis' Moment | Dale Romans | 9-2 |
| Maxfield | Brendan Walsh | 5-1 |
| Green Light Go | James Jerkens | 12-1 |

| American Theorem | George Papaprodromou | 20-1 |
| Shoplifted | Steve Asmussen | 20-1 |
| Wrecking Crew | Peter Miller | 33-1 |
| Flap Jack | Jack Sisterson | 66-1 |
A top North American threat in here, Decorated Invader took two tries to break his maiden at Saratoga this summer and then won Woodbine's Summer Stakes (G1). Peace Achieved, meanwhile, broke his maiden in his third try, won a stakes race at Kentucky Downs and then took the Bourbon Stakes (G3) at Keeneland last weekend. Vitalogy was a strong second in that flight, running on late to nearly steal it. As for the Euros, Mums Tipple won impressively in a six-furlong straightaway race at York, besting a host of competitors by double digit lengths.
| Horse | Trainer | Odds |
| Decorated Invader | Christophe Clement | 8-1 |

Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies
Trainer Bob Baffert may have a special one in Bast. After failing to win a maiden special weight race on her debut, she put blinkers on to take back-to-back Grade 1s out west in the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and the Chandelier Stakes (G1) at Santa Anita. British Idiom, a bargain purchase, also became a Grade 1 winner recently in last Friday's Alcibiades (G1) at Keeneland. Later in the weekend, Wicked Whisper joined her in taking the Frizette (G1). The new name to know is Donna Veloce, as trainer Simon Callaghan may take her from a maiden win straight to this spot.
| Horse | Trainer | Odds |
| Bast | Bob Baffert | 3-1 |
| British Idiom | Brad Cox | 5-1 |

Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf
Roger Varian-trained Daahyeh has never missed the exacta in five starts, while Albigna has won three of her four starts. Her trainer, Jessica Harrington, could bring multiple contenders to this spot, which at first glance looks there for the taking for the European invaders. Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint
Kimari broke her maiden in debut at Keeneland in April, then finished second in a Group 2 stakes race at Royal Ascot. She followed up by winning two stakes races (at Saratoga then Keeneland). A’Ali is the top European contender as he’s won three times in five career tries.
