First Mares in Foal to Super Saver

Super Saver, winner of the 2010 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), had his first mares confirmed in foal from his debut book at stud at WinStar Farm near Versailles, Ky.

The first was Lunargal, a stakes winner and sibling to several top stakes performers. The 8-year-old mare is owned by WinStar Farm. Lunargal is a full sister to multiple graded stakes-winning juvenile Lunarpal, and also a half sister to graded stakes-winning juvenile and 2011 Kentucky Derby contender Astrology.

Lunargal is just the first of four mares that have been confirmed in foal to date, making Super Saver four-for-four from the first mares checked among his earliest covers.
