Belmont Park picks up the torch this weekend with five graded stakes, with Santa Anita and Woodbine each having one graded race on the calendar.

Yibir returns in the Man O'War to face Gufo, who almost won here last year. And We the People looks to return to the win column in the Peter Pan, a traditional prep for the Belmont Stakes.

Here is an early look at the likely fields.

Saturday

Man O’War (G1), Belmont, 1 3/8 miles (turf), 4-year-olds and up

Yibir, winner of last year's Breeders' Cup Turf, returns from overseas, where he finished second in the Dubai Sheema (G1) and the Jockey Club Stakes (G2) at Newmarket. Gufo looks to avenge a loss by a nose in this race last year. He bounced back from his 10th-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Turf to win the Pan American (G2) by two lengths over Abaan, also expected here.
