With the meets at Saratoga and Del Mar wrapped up, attention this weekend will center on Kentucky Downs. The unusual turf track about two hours south of Louisville hosts five graded stakes, and four of them have more than the 12 allowable entries.

Here is an early look at the fields.

Kentucky Turf Cup (G2), Kentucky Downs, 1 1/2 miles (turf), 3-year-olds and up

Arklow returns after winning this race last year and in 2018 and coming in second in 2019. Zulu Alpha – who finished third last year – is one of six entries for Mike Maker (his Dynadrive is an also-eligible.) Man o' War (G1) winner Channel Cat is looking for his first victory since. This $1 million race is a win-and-you're-in qualifier for the Breeders' Cup Turf.
