Final Score, winner of the Grade 2 Bourbon at Keeneland in his most recent start, will miss the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.

Owner Mike Repole announced Monday via a post on X that Final Score has sore shins. Instead of going to the Breeders' Cup, he will get time off in Ocala before a planned return at age 3.

Final Score, by Not This Time out of the winning Bernardini mare Precious Dixie, has won three of his four starts. He was defeated on debut, in a sprint race at Saratoga that was washed from the turf to the dirt. He has subsequently won all three of his starts at two turns on grass. He went gate to wire in a maiden special weight at Saratoga and then won the With Anticipation (G3) in similar fashion. He was also forwardly placed in the Bourbon, but had to prove that day that he could survive a pace battle.
