Festival Runners School in Paddock

Richard Duchossois’ Éclair de Lune, who will attempt to become the first back-to-back winner of the Grade I Beverly D. on Saturday, schooled in the paddock Thursday just prior to the third race.

 

Also in the paddock at the same time was the Beverly D. runner Check the Label, who races in the silks of Lael Stables.

 

All In Stable’s Willcox Inn, who would become the fourth horse in Arlington Park history to sweep Chicago’s Mid-America Triple with a win in Saturday’s Grade I Secretariat Stakes, schooled in the paddock just prior to the fourth race Thursday.

 

Three Festival runners trained by Christophe Clement – Castleton Lyons’ Grade I Arlington Million candidate Gio Ponti, Robert Scarborough’s $750,000 Beverly D. runner Cheetah and Castleton Lyons’ $65,000 Hatoof Stakes participant Race to Urge all schooled in the paddock Thursday before the fifth race of the afternoon.

Guests planning to be at Arlington Park for Saturday’s International Festival of Racing – as well as fans of Arlington’s simulcast signal – are reminded that there will be a special 12:15 p.m. post time in effect for Saturday’s Arlington Million Day program.
