Luxair Properties’ Fast Tip, allowed to settle early, commenced a rally entering the lane, took command at the furlong grounds and drew off for a two-length tally in Sunday’s $53,000 allowance/optional $62,500 claiming sprint for older fillies and mares.

Trained by Bret Calhoun and ridden by Miguel Mena, the Kentucky-bred daughter of Najran increased her career earnings to $154,402 with her fifth lifetime win in 10 career starts, toured the three-quarter mile distance in 1:10.19 and returned mutuels of $9.60, $3.80 and $3.40.

Joe Agular’s Sharp Tongue Lady made the pace with early splits of 22.19 and 45.53, could not withstand the winner in the final furlong but gamely held the place, paying $3 and $3 while finishing a head in front of Jean and John Zehnder and Tom Musselman’s Miss Dora, who returned $5 to show.
