Pegram, Watson and Weitman’s Executiveprivilege

, perfect in two starts, including an easy victory in the Landaluce Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park, figures to be a solid favorite versus eight two-year-old filly rivals in Wednesday’s 44th running of the Grade III $150,000 Sorrento Stakes at 6 ½ furlongs. 

Executiveprivilege, a talented Kentucky-bred daughter of First Samurai purchased for $650,000 in April at the Ocala Sale, will be seeking to provide trainer Bob Baffert with his sixth success in the Sorrento Stakes, major prelude to the Grade I Del Mar Debutante Saturday, September 1.

Rafael Bejarano again has the mount on Executiveprivilege, a maiden winner by 4 ½ lengths and victorious in the Landaluce by 3 ¼ lengths.

Opposing Executiveprivilege in the Sorrento will be Speedinthruthecity, Landaluce runner-up; O Happy Gray, Renee’s Titan, Serious, Wittgenstein, Somethingabouther, Switch to the Lead and Bares Tripper.

Post time for the first race Wednesday will be 2 p.m., with the Sorrento Stakes the seventh of eight races.
