Evangeline Downs, which canceled racing Thursday evening because the head-on and turf cameras weren’t working, will be back in action Friday.

Steward Mark Guidry told Horse Racing Nation that the problem was “something about the fiber,” and a racing office staffer later told HRN that the problem was resolved.

He said technicians were scheduled to arrive at the Louisiana track Friday morning.

"We don't want to wait til the last minute, like last night,” Guidry said. “We don't want that to happen again."

Post time Thursday was 6:30 p.m EDT, and Mary Rampellini of Daily Racing Form posted on X at 6:35 that racing was canceled because of “unforeseen circumstances,” citing a text message from the track.

Post time Friday is 6:30 p.m. EDT. There are 10 races scheduled on the card, with six on dirt and four on turf.
