Endorsement Comes Through in Texas Mile

Continuing his comeback from an injury that knocked him off the 2010 Triple Crown trail, Endorsement swept past 11-10 choice Canonize in deep stretch to win the $200,000 Texas Mile (gr. III) at Lone Star Park April 28.

Endorsement was reunited with jockey Robby Albarado, who teamed with the 5-year-old son of Distorted Humor   to win the 2010 Sunland Derby (gr. III) by three lengths in March 2010. Sent off at odds of 5-2 in the Texas Mile, Endorsement overcame some traffic issues rounding the far turn to defeat Canonize by two lengths. He was timed in 1:36.69 over a fast track.

Now trained by Eoin Harty for Bill and Susan Casner, Endorsement has two wins and two seconds in four starts since launching his comeback at Gulfstream Park in December. Since making his return to the races, Endorsement has raced without Lasix.
