Emancipated battled back for a nose victory over Immigration in Friday's featured Cascade Coffee Purse for older horses at Emerald Downs.
The victory, accomplished in a swift 1:08 3/5 for six furlongs, snapped a 12-race losing streak for the 5-year-old Washington- bred, whose last win was an upset over Margo's Gift in the Trooper Seven Stakes on Sept. 14, 2008.
Ridden by Joe Crispin, Emancipated paid $18.20, $12.80 and $5.40. Robbie Baze—
saddling his second of three winners on the night—is the trainer for owners Betty and the Boys.
