Elidefeatspeyton took command out of the gate and held on by a nose to capture the $50,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Friday, stepping the 5 ½ furlongs over firm turf in 1:02.74.
Owned and trained by Rolando J. Lima and ridden by Jose Ferrer, Elidefeatspeyton returned $36, $10 and $7. Fiscal Stimulus, the 7-5 favorite in the field of seven, completed the $119.40 exacta and paid $3.40 to place and $2.40 to show. Outstanding Hope was another half-length back in third, good for a $5 show mutuel.
