Eleven Set for Turfway Prevue

Inhisglory, an impressive allowance winner last out at Turfway Park and two-for-three as a juvenile, will begin his 3-year-old campaign as one of the horses to beat in the $50,000 Turfway Prevue Stakes Jan. 8.

A field of 11 sophomores was entered to go six furlongs on Polytrack. Also among the betting choices should be Illinois-bred Thewayitusedtobe, a two-time winner who was stakes-placed last out, and Zorro Veloz, who has three wins in Peru but will be making his United States debut. Both horses will carry top weight of 122 pounds. Post time for the Prevue, which will be followed by the WEBN Stakes on Feb. 5, is scheduled for 5:02 p.m. EDT.

Owned and trained by Wayne Mogge, Inhisglory broke his maiden first out on the Presque Isle Downs Tapeta surface in June and rebounded from a poor allowance effort at Woodbine by winning an optional claimer Dec. 26 at Turfway. Rodney Prescott was aboard for the gelding’s latest victory and he will retain the mount on Saturday.
