Eldaafer got the 2010 Breeders' Cup off to a flying start with a smart rallying victory in the Marathon under John Velazquez. The winner returned $23.20 for trainer Diane Alvarado.
An inquiry involving runner-up Prince Will I Am, Romp, and A. U. Miner resulted in a winners' circle scuffle after the race between Javier Castallano and Calvin Borel.
Prince Will I Am was disqualified and placed 10th for interference. Gabriel's Hill was placed 2nd and A. U. Miner was moved up to 3rd.
