Eight challengers were entered Wednesday to face defending champion Include Me Out in Saturday’s Grade I $300,000 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes.

Include Me Out, a neck winner of the 2012 Hirsch, drew the outside post and will be ridden by Joe Talamo for trainer Ron Ellis and owner Samantha Siegel’s Jay Em Ess Stable.

Lined up to contend, from the rail out are: Lady of Fifty (Corey Nakatani), Byrama (Gary Stevens), Quiet Oasis (Mario Gutierrez), Sisterhood (Victor Espinoza), Via Villaggio (Mike Smith), More Chocolate (Rafael Bejarano), Sister Kate (Martin Pedroza), and Great Hot (Chantal Sutherland).

The Clement L. Hirsch is a Breeders’ Cup Challenge race, a “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the $2 million Ladies’ Classic.
