Early Look: See probables for Stephen Foster, 10 other stakes
Two of the top older horses in the country, 2021 Kentucky Derby winner Mandaloun along with recent Grade 2, $500,000 Alysheba Stakes victor Olympiad, are likely to be the headliners of the Grade 2, $750,000 Stephen Foster on Saturday, July 2 at Churchill Downs.
The 1 1/8-mile Stephen Foster is the headlining event of next Saturday afternoon’s stakes bonanza from the Louisville racetrack. The program also will include the $350,000 Fleur de Lis (G2), $350,000 Wise Dan (G2), $200,000 American Derby, $200,000 Tepin and the $160,000 Kelly’s Landing Overnight Stakes.
On Sunday, July 3, Churchill Downs will host the $160,000 Anchorage Overnight Stakes and the $160,000 Maxfield Overnight Stakes. The Spring Meet will close Monday, July 4 with the $175,000 Bashford Manor, $175,000 Debutante and $175,000 Hanshin.
