Courtesy of a $152.80 winner in Sunday’s ninth and final race, there is a two-day carryover into Monday at Santa Anita of $430,034 and the expectation that Monday’s total pool could exceed $2 million.

Ridden by Efrain Hernandez for trainer Richard Rosales, 3-year-old gelding Ancient Stone gradually wore down 4-1 Grant and Alex Bisono to take the finale for maiden $20,000 claimers at seven furlongs.

Santa Anita will present a special 10-race Columbus Day card on Monday, with the Pick Six covering races five through 10.

There is also a Super High 5 carryover into Monday of $32,694.  The Super High 5 requires players to pick the first five finishers in each day’s final race.

First post time on Monday is 1 p.m.  Fans will be treated to one dollar beers, sodas and hot dogs throughout the day.
