Double Dipping Pays Off for Jockeys

Three or four afternoons a week, Victor Lebron drives the 115 miles from Louisville to Shelbyville, Ind., to ride at Indiana Downs. He returns late at night so he can be at Churchill Downs or its Trackside training center to work horses.

It's the same trip that Francisco Torres, Leandro Goncalves, James Lopez, Abel Castellano and apprentice Oriana Rossi make regularly as they try to ride races seven days a week between Indiana Downs and Churchill Downs.
