Here is a full-field analysis for the Diana with morning-line odds from the Horse Racing Nation staff. The Diana is carded as race 11 of 12 with post time scheduled for 6:14 p.m. EDT.
1. She Feels Pretty, 1-1. Karakontie – Cherie DeVaux / John Velazquez – 10: 7-1-2 - $1,784,957. She Feels Pretty comes to the Diana riding a four-race win streak that includes three Grade 1s at three tracks from coast to coast, the New York at Aqueduct in June, the American Oaks at Santa Anita in December and the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Keeneland in October. The one to beat.
2. Choisya, 10-1. Night of Thunder – Simon Crisford / Luis Saez – 21: 8-5-0 – $713,212. Choisya made 18 starts in England but did not win at the group level until she went to Meydan and won a pair of Group 2 races at the beginning of 2025. She came to America and became a Grade 1 winner in the Jenny Wiley at Keeneland. Last seen Choisya finished a tired seventh in the Just A Game (G1) on a yielding turf course. Live long shot.
3. Lady Claypoole, 15-1. Starspangledbanner – Robert Baltas / Joel Rosario – 20: 4-3-2 - $287,428. Lady Claypoole began her career with four starts in England and then came to America. She broke her maiden in her ninth overall start, which was at Santa Anita in March 2024. Lady Claypoole needed eight starts to win at the allowance level and then won two in a row in late winter. In March she won the Santa Ana (G3) and then was second in the Gamely (G1), all at Santa Anita. Toss.
4. Excellent Truth, 7-2. Cotai Glory – Chad Brown / Flavien Prat – 13: 4-5-1 - $402,898. Excellent Truth is the first of the Chad Brown runners in the field. She began her career in France, where she won three times including a Group 3 at Deauville. Last summer she was second in the Prix Rothschild (G1), her final European race. Excellent Truth finished second in her only two starts in America in the Jenny Wiley and the Just A Game behind horses who are in this Diana field. Flavien Prat stays on board. Use underneath.
5. Dynamic Pricing, 9-2. Night of Thunder – Chad Brown / Dylan Davis – 9: 4-0-3 - $772,125. Dynamic Pricing is the second horse for Chad Brown in the Diana. She is in the best form of her career with a May victory in the Beaugay (G3) at Aqueduct, and she beat her stablemate Excellent Truth in the Just A Game to become a Grade 1 winner. Dynamic Pricing shows three turf works at Saratoga in preparation for Saturday. Win contender.
6. Be Your Best, 4-1. Muhaarar – Saffie Joseph Jr. / Irad Ortiz Jr. – 20: 6-3-2 - $1,086,559. Be Your Best became a Grade 1 winner in the Gamely at Santa Anita with a front-end effort in which she defeated Lady Claypoole as part of a seven-horse field. She won three graded stakes in a row from November to January in the Long Island (G3), the Seewanee River (G3) and the Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G2). This 5-year-old is in the best form of her career and prefers to run as part of the early pace. She is facing the strongest field of her career. Win contender.
Summary: Chad Brown has his work cut out for him as he tries to add to his gaudy record in the Diana. The Brown runners face a field that has three other Grade 1 winners. Dynamic Pricing has two victories on yielding turf courses, and she may get lucky because rain is in the forecast for a few days leading up to Saturday.
The Diana discussion has to start with She Feels Pretty, who is clearly the best horse in the filly turf division. Handled well by Cherie DeVaux, She Feels Pretty has impressive victories on turf courses rated firm, good and yielding. Very likely the discussion will end with She Feels Pretty showing up in the winner’s circle for the eighth time.
