Dialed In Storms Home in Holy Bull

Dialed In, more than fifteen lengths back in the early running under Julien Leparoux, unleashed a strong rally to win Sunday's Grade 3 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

Robert Lapenta's well-bred colt (Mineshaft-Miss Doolittle by Storm Cat) began his career with a visually impressive sprint score at Churchill Downs in November and scratched out of a recent wet track local Allowance race won by Soldat. Veteran trainer Nick Zito opted to wait for today's Holy Bull and his patience was rewarded.

Black N Beauty mixed it up on the front end with Mucho Macho Man and Ribo Bobo through a quarter in :23.96. Gourmet Dinner moved up along the inside to get into contention after a half in :46.24. Dialed In was still last at this point.

Sweet Ducky started his wide move after six furlongs in 1:10.33 and Dialed In advanced to 5th and was moving sweetly.

Sweet Ducky had the lead in the lane but Dialed In switched leads and spurted clear to win going away by 1-1/2 lengths.

The head-bob battle for the place went to Sweet Ducky with Gourmet Dinner three clear of the rest.

Mucho Macho Man finished 4th and was followed across the line by Black N Beauty, Leave of Absence, Printing Press, Major Gain, and Ribo Bobo.

Dialed In completed his flat mile journey around one turn in 1:35.19 and paid $7.40 to win.
