Derby, Oaks Future Wager Set for March 11-13

Pool 2 of the 2011 Kentucky Derby Future Wager opens on Friday, March 11 at 12 p.m. ET. Archarcharch, Elite Alex, Runflatout, and Sway Away are new to the lineup, replacing Clubhouse Ride, Decisive Moment, Indian Winter, and Tiz Blessed.

Mike Battaglia has made the field the 3-1 favorite in this round of the KDFW but Uncle Mo, listed at 7-2 on the line, returns to action in the Timely Writer at Gulfstream Park on Saturday and a big performance could make him the public choice when the pool closes on Sunday, March 13 at 6 p.m. ET.

Pool 2 is the one and only chance to make a Kentucky Oaks Future Wager and exacta betting has been added this year. The field is the 5-2 choice in the Oaks. R Heat Lightning and Zazu are both listed at 8-1, followed by Dancinginherdreams and It’s Tricky at 10-1. Kathmanblu is next at 12-1.

The Oaks pool closes at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
