Derby Kitten rallied down the middle of the track to win Saturday's Coolmore Lexington Stakes at Keeneland.

Casper's Touch was sent from the outside post and carved out solid splits of :23.96, :47.17, and 1:12.11. Prime Cut and Silver Medallion stalked the pace.

Prime Cut made his move turning for home and started to wear down Casper's Touch but Derby Kitten found his best stide and posted the last-to-first upset score at 9-1. The 3-year-old son of Kitten's Joy completed his eight and one-half furlong Polytrack journey in 1:42.03 and paid $20.40.

Casper's Touch held the show and post time favorite Silver Medallion ended up a disappointing 4th.

Derby Kitten, owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, and trained by Mike Maker, was ridden to victory by Julien Leparoux. He won for the second time in nine outings on Saturday and banked $120,000.
