Delaware commission drops suspension for jockey Hiraldo
The Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission ended its suspension of jockey John Hiraldo after a follow-up test for amphetamine was negative.
Hiraldo was suspended July 5 after a positive result for amphetamine in a random drug test.
A hearing on the suspension was scheduled for Friday, and the suspension ended Saturday, according to listings on the Association of Racing Commissioners International website. The lifting of the suspension was reported earlier by BloodHorse.
Hiraldo has a record of 129: 12-11-12 and earnings of $344,422 this year. His career record is 1,293: 140-143-171 with earnings of $4,252,790.
In the current meet at Delaware Park, which began May 24, he is in sixth place in the jockey standings with nine wins from 63 starts.
Hiraldo next listed mounts are in four races at Delaware Park on Saturday.
