Because of unsafe track conditions caused by inclement weather in the Wilmington, Del., area, Delaware Park cancelled the opening-day live racing card scheduled for Wednesday.

The track's 2025 live racing will begin Saturday with an eight-race card that has a first race post time of 12:35 p.m. EDT.

The National Weather Service forecast for Wilmington called for a 70% chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm Wednesday and a 60% chance of rain Wednesday night.

Saturday's forecast includes a 60% chance showers, mainly after 2 p.m., but a partly sunny day with a high temperature near 84 degrees.
