Delaware Park canceled its live racing program for Wednesday because the card did not draw enough entries.

The cancellation was announced Friday morning in a news release by the track. After Wednesday's cancellation, the next live race day after Saturday is scheduled to be Thursday. Entries will be taken for that card Friday.

In the meantime, live racing is scheduled for Saturday.  First race post time is 12:45 p.m. EDT. Saturday's card is an eight-race affair.

The richest race on the card is a second-level optional-claiming allowance dash on turf for fillies and mares, which drew nine horses plus an also-eligible to run for a $47,000 purse. The 3-2 morning-line favorite is rail-drawn Mystic Seaport, an 11-time winner trained by Jamie Ness. The 3-1 second choice is So Sophia, a lightly raced filly from the Jorge Delgado barn who carries a two-win streak into the race.
