Del Mar wagering menu includes switch to Rainbow Pick 6

Del Mar opens its 82nd summer meet Friday with one significant change to its betting menu: the Pick 6, long a $2 minimum wager with traditional format, has been lowered to a 20-cent base wager where 30 percent of the pool will carry over unless there is a single unique ticket with all six winners.
The change to a "Rainbow Pick 6" with jackpot provision is designed to build the pool heading into two "mandatory" payout days, which are scheduled for Pacific Classic day on Aug. 21 and closing day on Sept. 6. The takeout rate for the Rainbow Pick 6 is 23.68%.
