Sunday DEL MAR Recap: August 28 (Winning Daily Double + Early Pick 3 Tickets)

Fast main track and firm turf course. Speed was better as the day wore on and there were four wire-to-wire winners on dirt (5.5f, 5.5f, 8f, 8f). The winning turf course running styles were a stalker at 8.5f, a front runner at 9f, and a stalker at 8.5f (rail at 12 feet).

Hat trick for Norberto Arroyo Jr. Leading rider Flavien Prat booted home two more winners. Richard Baltas, Peter Miller, and Jeff Mullins each saddled two winners.

Sunday’s suggested Daily Double/Early Pick 3 Tickets produced one Primary winner (SALSITA) and two Secondary winners (Jonny’s Choice, Two Six Wins). The winning $2 Daily Double (races 2-3) returned $29.60 and the $1 Early Pick 3 (races 1-3) returned $34.30.
