Thursday Del Mar Recap: July 27 (Winning Daily Double + Early Pick 3 Tickets)

Fast main track and firm turf course. Four of the five main track winners went wire-to-wire and the other tracked the pace from second. The winning turf course running styles were a dueling front runner at one mile, a front runner at a mile and a sixteenth, and a dueling front runner at a mile and a sixteenth (turf rail at 30 feet). This was the definitely the most speed favoring day of the summer meet so far.

Two wins for jockey Santiago Gonzalez. Trainer Phil D’Amato saddled a pair of turf route winners.

Thursday’s (7-27-17) suggested Daily Double + Early Pick 3 Tickets from Del Mar produced one Primary winner (LEA’S REWARD) and two Secondary winners (Jes Jaa, Kenzou’s Rhythm). The winning $2 Early Double (Races 1-2) returned $18.20, the next $2 Double (Races 2-3) paid $42.20, and the $1 Early Pick 3 returned $61.70.
