Two-time Grade 1 winner Muth was the morning-line favorite in the Preakness before trainer Bob Baffert scratched him three days beforehand with a fever. He has not raced since he won the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby five months ago.

The $2 million Good Magic colt who has earned back $1,504,100 for owner Amr Zedan is set to make his comeback Sunday as one of the seven 3-year-olds racing one mile in the listed $125,000 Shared Belief Stakes going a two-turn mile at Del Mar.

Muth, who will be ridden as always by Juan Hernández, drew post 3 and is likely to go off as the favorite in a field that includes two other Baffert-trained colts. Wynstock, a two-time stakes winner at Los Alamitos, will carry Kyle Frey from post 7. Santa Anita Derby (G1) runner-up Imagination, who was seventh in both the Preakness and the Woody Stephens (G1), got post 6 with Kazushi Kimura.

Pony Express, a nine-length maiden winner who finished last in the Jim Dandy (G2) for trainer John Sadler, races with Antonio Fresu from post 4. His stablemate Indispensable, who needed nine races to break his maiden last month, goes with Héctor Berrios from post 2. Maiden winner Mc Vay, fourth more than two months ago in the Affirmed, breaks from the rail with Umberto Rispoli getting the call from John Shirreffs. De’ Medici, an allowance victor for Michael McCarthy who is the lone gelding in the race, drew post 5 and will be ridden by Reylu Gutiérrez.

The Shared Belief is the seventh of 10 races Sunday and is posted to go after 7:30 p.m. EDT. The first post is at 4:30 p.m.
