Daytona Stakes at Santa Anita is weekend's best bet opportunity

Several top horses are in action on Saturday at both Monmouth Park and Churchill Downs, but big names often bring short prices.

Thanks to Super Screener wagering strategy, players can try to make the most of short prices like Bishops Bay in the Salvator Mile and Burnham Square in the Chorleywood with long shot horses to use with logical contenders.

That is not the plan for the Daytona Stakes on Saturday at Santa Anita Park, however, as the graded stakes turf sprint features big prices in contention.

"This features a solid, overflow field, and with the downhill turf course, give more consideration to horses who have previous success over it," Mike Shutty writes in this week's Super Screener. "Freedom's Not Free emerges as the Super Screener Top Win and Top Board Hitter pick after returning to training in May and showing a pattern of progression without missing a scheduled work. He'll press the pace here, reserving plenty of energy in the process, which helps offset the layoff concern."

Each race in Super Screener includes selections, analysis and wagering strategy. Freedom's Not Free features prominently in the wagering strategy keyed with a pair of 20-1 horses.

Now that Triple Crown season is over, Super Screener has turned its focus to Breeders' Cup prep season. Subscribe to Super Screener and receive all 21 editions between now and Breeders' Cup plus daily Power Picks and Horses to Single reports.
