A rash of horse and people injuries at Woodbine has added to the strangeness of the season - complete with longshot winners who make little sense and big favourites not getting it done.

On the horse front, BIOFUEL was retired yesterday after she came out of the Ontario Matron with a chip in her ankle.  Interestingly, STORMY ILLUSION was vanned off from the Matron with an injury that has reportedly led to her retirement.
