Courtlandt Farms’ Cursor, a flashy winner of a Belmont Park maiden special weight last fall, will get her 3-year-old campaign underway this Saturday at Gulfstream Park in the $75,000 Any Limit.

The six-furlong dirt race drew a field of seven sophomore fillies. Cursor is the 6-5 favorite in the 4th running of the Any Limit.

Trained by Mark Hennig, the $340,000 Keeneland yearling purchase is a winner of one race in three starts. The Kentucky-bred daughter of Quality Road, the 2009 Florida Derby winner, marked her first career start with a fast-closing finish in a six-furlong maiden special weight at odds of 16-1. She followed that second-place finish by winning her next race as the odds-on favorite of a seven-furlong maiden event at Belmont Park in October.

Cursor closed out her season with a fourth-place finish in her stakes debut, the Tempted (G3) at Aqueduct Nov. 5. She was beaten four lengths that day by the very talented Miss Sky Warrior, who returned to win the Demoiselle (G2) and, more recently, the Davona Dale (G2) at Gulfstream Park March 4.

“She came out of the Tempted with a minor chip that we took care of,” Hennig said. “I think that definitely impacted that race. She has done very well since the surgery.”

Cursor has spent much of the winter at Gulfstream Park, where she has produced a series of solid works, including a bullet five-eighths in 1:00.11 March 10. In a subsequent breeze, Cursor went a much slower five furlongs, in 1:03.41, March 17.

“Don’t know how much she got out of her last work, but the one before that she was very sharp,” Hennig said. “Anyway, I hope she’s the one that gets to apply the pressure late.”

Jose Ortiz has been named to ride Cursor, who drew post 3.

The undefeated Who’s the Lady, the winning favorite of a starter optional claimer at Gulfstream Park March 8, has been entered by trainer Kathleen O’Connell. The Florida-bred daughter of Munnings is a two-time winner at Gulfstream Park.

Truge, who was a narrowly beaten second behind Who’s the Lady on March 8, will represent the Antonio Sano barn in the Any Limit. Faith N Hope, third behind Who’s the Lady and Truge, is also entered.

The field is completed by Tampa Bay Downs invader Fashion Runaway, who finished fifth in a first-level allowance race at the Oldsmar track earlier in the month; Colorincolonel, who is 1 for 17 lifetime; and Mia, who is unraced since last September.
