Phoenix Thoroughbred’s Crazy Beautiful made it three “Oaks” wins in as many states this season when taking the Grade 3, $300,000 Delaware Oaks at Delaware Park on Saturday.

Dispatched as the 1-5 favorite in a field of nine, Crazy Beautiful stalked the pace while racing three wide under Hall of Famer Mike Smith before reeling in longshot leader Hybrid Eclipse at the top of the stretch and drawing off to win in a final time of 1:46.33 for 1 1/16-miles on a track listed as "good."

Midnight Obsession, the 5-1 second choice, was a distant second for trainer John Servis while stablemate Leader Of The Band completed the trifecta. Crazy Beautiful returned $2.60 for her fifth win in 10 starts for trainer Kenny McPeek.

Splits for the race were 23.75, 48.22, 1:13.20 and 1:39.82 for the opening mile.

By Liam's Map, Crazy Beautiful previously won the Gulfstream Oaks (G2) in March and the May 30 Summertime Oaks (G2) at Santa Anita, which were sandwiched around a disappointing 10th-place effort in the Kentucky Oaks.
