Connie And Michael Scratched from CCA Oaks

Connie and Michael, the 5-1 morning-line co-second choice in today’s Grade 1 Betfair TVG Coaching Club American Oaks at Saratoga Race Course, has been scratched with an abscess on her right front foot, her trainer Dominick Schettino revealed.
“It started yesterday and we’ve been working on it,” said Schettino. “We’ll need a couple of days before we can put her back into training. The plan right now is to make the [Grade 1 Betfair TVG] Alabama [on August 21].
A five-length winner of a Churchill Downs allowance in May, Connie and Michael was second to Devil May Care, the 6-5 morning-line favorite in today’s featured race, in the Grade 1 Mother Goose at Belmont in June.
